What is Ford Driver Assist?

Burns Ford is all about the safety of our customers so we wanted to inform you about the features that Ford has. Ford Driver Assist are technologies in New Ford Vehicles that help keep you and your family safe on the road. Ford Driver Assist includes 7 features that give you peace of mind during your daily commute.

Lane Keeping Assist

Lane Keeping assist helps alert you with vibrations in the steering wheel, chiming sound, and visual warnings when your vehicle drifts out of the lane. The great thing about Lane Keeping Assist is it is more subtle than other technologies like it. When the car alerts you it is not completely distracting while you drive.

BLIS® With Cross-Traffic Alert

With BLIS it will alert you when someone is in your blind spot while driving or parking. This feature is helpful when merging into lanes or backing out into a busy road.

Adaptive Cruise Control

Adaptive Cruise Control takes the idea of cruise control and adds stop-and-go technology. This technology allows the driver to seamlessly keep pace with traffic by reducing your speed when traffic slows down or stops.

Hill Descent Control

When driving to the mountains or encountering steep hills, Hill Descent Control is very helpful. This feature helps you maintain a set speed while driving down an incline, automatically applying the brakes as needed.

Curve Control

Making winding roads much easier to navigate. Curve Control will change your speed as you enter a curve. Your brakes will engage automatically keeping you at a safe speed when making sharp turns on winding roads.

Evasive Steering Assist

When driving on busy roads there can be some crazy drivers. You are unable to predict what cars around you are going to do. Evasive Steering Assist helps you avoid collisions by helping you navigate around vehicles that have abruptly stopped.

Enhanced Active Park

One of the coolest technologies we have in the market today is the Enhanced Active Park. One of the hardest things about driving is parallel parking. With Enhanced Active Park it will make parallel parking stress free. To activate this feature all you have to do is shift, accelerate, and brake while the vehicle parks for you.

Driver Assist Packages

If you’re interested in any or all of these features being integrated into your next Ford purchase a number of preset packages are available to upgrade to Co-Pilot 360 or Safe and Smart.
